Is the saying: "Oh you who are in a hurry, may Allah delay you" permissible when someone is late for something?

The phrase "attributing ta'teel (negation of divine attributes) to Allah" does not appear to necessitate prohibition. It is not found in the sacred texts. However, the scope of informing about Allah is broader than the scope of describing Him. There is no obligation to be restricted to the specific wording found in the texts, as long as the information conveyed does not imply any imperfection or ill-manners towards Allah. This phrase has indeed been used in the discourse of some scholars, such as Ibn al-Qayyim.
