Is it obligatory to repay Zakat, specifying the account type for the charitable organization, given that neither the employee nor the bank's announcement clarified a distinction between the Sadaqat (charity) account and the Zakat account?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

It is permissible for the zakat payer to entrust their zakat money to a trustworthy agent or a reliable charity organization to deliver it to those who are eligible, and by doing so, their obligation is fulfilled. If the organization has two accounts, one for zakat and another for other purposes, it is necessary to ensure that the zakat is deposited into its designated account. If an error occurs in the deposit, the bank must be contacted to rectify it, and if it is not possible to remedy the situation and the zakat has been spent on purposes other than its designated ones, it must be paid again.
