How is the prayer completed with the latecomer who replaced the Imam, after the original Imam's nosebleed in the second rak'ah of the Maghrib prayer?

The latecomer who is appointed as an imam (mustakhalaf) must observe the order of the original imam in the prayer's actions. When the latecomer completes the imam's prayer, he stands to make up what he missed. The followers then have the choice between saying the salaam and leaving him, or waiting to say the salaam with him. This is the opinion of the Shafi'is. The Malikis agree with them, except that they do not permit leaving before the salaam, and they stipulate that the latecomer must have caught up with a bowing (ruku') with the appointed imam. Therefore, the appointed latecomer sits for the tashahhud in the second and third rak'ahs, then makes up what he missed, and the followers are given the choice between leaving him or waiting.
