What should a man do with his wife if she verbally abuses him?

A husband must endure his wife's ill-treatment, following the example of the righteous. He should live with her in kindness, tolerate her harm, and forgive her recklessness and anger. He ought to advise her with wisdom, clarify his rights over her, and warn her against harming him. He is also obliged to help her strengthen her connection with her Lord and accompany righteous women, for if she becomes upright in her religion, her morals will also become upright. If she does not respond, he may resort to abandoning her in bed and striking her in a non-painful manner.
