Is affirming corporeality for Allah Almighty disbelief (kufr)?

It is not possible to see Allah Almighty in this world while awake, because it is impossible for humans and due to the imperfection of their lives, as happened with Moses, peace be upon him. As for seeing Him in the Hereafter, it is real and possible due to the perfection of human life on the Day of Resurrection. The Salaf unanimously agreed on this and cited as proof His Almighty saying: "Some faces, that Day, will be radiant, Looking at their Lord," and the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "I ask You for the delight of looking at Your Face."

As for the assertion that Allah cannot be seen because He is light, or because a body is necessary for sight, it is false and necessitates negating Allah's Names and Attributes. Whoever says this worships "nothingness," as he inactivates Allah Almighty from all that has been affirmed for Him. This assertion is an innovation that none of the Salaf ever made.

It is obligatory upon a Muslim to hear and obey what has come from Allah and His Messenger, and not to delve into Allah's religion with his own intellect and opinion.
