It is not permissible for a teacher to take money from students for renovating the classroom, as this is the responsibility of the school, and it resembles forbidden taxes (mukus). Participation and examination grades are given based on the student's effort and academic achievement, not on their payment of money. This act violates the educational system and is an injustice to students, especially the poor. The teacher must fear Allah and give every student their due grades according to the system. They can encourage students to donate to charitable activities without linking this to grades.
