What is the ruling on a wife seeking divorce if her husband does not buy a new house with an interest-based loan, knowing that he is regretful and repentant of the sin that the wife discovered?

Drinking alcohol is one of the gravest major sins, and sincere repentance erases what came before it. A wife's spying and threatening to demand divorce without justification is reprehensible, and seeking divorce without valid reason is forbidden. Taking out a loan with interest (riba) is one of the destructive major sins, and it is not permissible to proceed with it because of the wife's threat. Rather, she must be reminded of Allah and warned of His punishment. If she does not desist, then the religiously sanctioned means of reconciliation should be pursued with her.
