Is it permissible for a Muslim to falsely swear an oath upon the Book of Allah the Almighty in court with the aim of obtaining residency, knowing that his story is fabricated?

You have done well with your repentance, and we ask Allah to keep you steadfast. It is not permissible for a Muslim to swear falsely except out of urgent necessity, such as obtaining residency if swearing a false oath is the only means to do so. It is permissible to take grants and privileges that result from residency to the extent of the necessity, and then to refrain when no longer in need. A Muslim must absolutely avoid sins, and this obligation is further emphasized by reaffirming the covenant with Allah. As for pledging allegiance to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, that was only during his lifetime.
