What is the ruling on intentionally making a mistake (Lahn) in the Holy Quran—both the hidden and the obvious—for the purpose of practicing its correction in English?

A Quran teacher is not permitted to intentionally mispronounce words (لحن) during recitation to train students, because students can be trained by having someone who is not proficient in recitation recite, and others can correct them. Scholars such as Al-Bahuti and Al-Nawawi have explicitly stated the prohibition of intentionally mispronouncing words in the Quran, even if it does not change the meaning, because it is an act of trifling with the words of Allah. As stated in the Fiqh Encyclopedia, it is forbidden to intentionally mispronounce words in the Quran, whether it changes the meaning or not, because its words are divinely revealed (توقيفية) and transmitted by continuous succession (بالتواتر). Intentionally mispronouncing words is an act of trifling with the words of Allah and mocking His verses, which is clear disbelief. Allah Almighty says: "Say, 'Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?' Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after your belief."
