What is the ruling on children maintaining ties with their father's family if it causes harm to their mother?

The matter in this issue does not go beyond two situations:

1. If the mother's harm from her children visiting their paternal uncles and aunts is merely an illusion, then it is not permissible to abandon their visit when capable of it. Maintaining ties has degrees, and one who falls short of what they are capable of is not considered a maintainer of ties. 2. If the children's visit to them is the reason for them reciprocating the visit, with a strong presumption that harm will occur, then it is sufficient to maintain ties with them through means other than visiting, such as calling, inquiring about their well-being, and exchanging gifts.
