What is the ruling on designing a character with specific features to play with on a gaming website?

It is forbidden to design animate beings with complete forms in games and the like. Exceptions to this include images of children for educational purposes and for companionship, as well as images lacking a vital part without which life cannot exist (such as the head or chest). Similarly, according to some scholars, exceptions also include images where facial features are not clear, or which do not resemble animate beings.
