Adultery is one of the gravest sins and necessitates sincere repentance. The child born of adultery is not attributed to the adulterer according to the majority of jurists; rather, he is attributed to his mother, and her responsibility it is to provide for him and care for him. He must hasten to marry a righteous woman, be diligent in fasting, and avoid stimulants of lust.
