Is it permissible to place Quranic verses on personal photos or social media statuses with the intention that people may be admonished by them?

It is permissible to write a Qur'anic verse on or under a picture for remembrance, provided the picture does not contain anything forbidden and its placement does not involve anything inappropriate, because Allah the Almighty sent down His Book for remembrance.

However, if the picture is forbidden, such as images of unveiled women, or if writing the verse on it implies mockery, then it is not permissible. Similarly, what some people do, writing verses in the shape of a bird, a human, or the like, is forbidden, as scholars have explicitly stated its prohibition due to the degradation of the Qur'an involved.
