However, his saying: "You are divorced, divorced, divorced" results in a single divorce, if he did not intend three divorces but rather emphasis. This is a revocable divorce, during which reconciliation is permissible within the iddah (definition) (waiting period), provided no prior divorce has occurred. The iddah concludes with three menstrual cycles. If the wife does not menstruate due to breastfeeding, her iddah remains ongoing until the impediment is removed and she completes three menstrual cycles, unless she reaches menopause, in which case her iddah is three months from the time she is considered among those who have reached menopause.
