Is a son considered disobedient to his father (عاقًّا لوالده) if he forbids him from using words that include the majestic word "Allah" (لفظ الجلالة) in an inappropriate context, or from using obscene language in front of the family, and is the father's prayer (دعوة الوالد) against him answered in this case?

Swearing at Allah the Almighty is an act of disbelief (kufr) that expels one from the fold of Islam. Speaking obscenities and indecencies is forbidden. You must admonish your father against this great evil with wisdom and good manners. This is not an act of disobedience (ʿuqūq); rather, it is a form of piety (birr) and benevolence (iḥsān). It is not permissible to abandon him unless that becomes the only way to reform him. If you fulfill your duty towards your father by enjoining good and forbidding evil with gentleness and good manners, and you do not fall short in his rights, then his supplication against you will not harm you thereafter. For a father’s supplication against his son is only effective if the son has wronged him or been disobedient.
