We advise you to fear Allah and perform righteous deeds, for much of life's hardship and scarcity of sustenance are due to an abundance of sins. You should also uphold ties of kinship, as this is a cause for an increase in sustenance and blessings in life. Furthermore, you must strive to earn a livelihood and seek suitable employment, while being content with Allah's decree and destiny. Do not despair of Allah's mercy; rather, ask Him for blessings in life and an abundance of sustenance, for your health and well-being are a great blessing that others may lack.
