What is the ruling on discriminating between people based on social affiliations (farmer, Bedouin, city dweller) in Islamic Sharia and in this world?

In Allah's law, there is no consideration for designations based on lineage, color, or language, because the criterion for superiority in the sight of Allah is piety (taqwa), as stated in His exalted words: "O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you." [Quran 49:13] And the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "There is no superiority for an Arab over a non-Arab, nor for a non-Arab over an Arab, nor for a white person over a black person, nor for a black person over a white person, except by piety." The existence of such categories does not entail a religious ruling or a mandatory duty.
