It is permissible for a person afflicted with epilepsy to marry, but they must inform the prospective spouse of their illness so that she is aware and knowledgeable. Concealing this is considered forbidden deception. If the husband conceals this defect, the wife has the right to annul the marriage. As for procreation, it should be pursued unless medical reports indicate a high probability of giving birth to a child afflicted with epilepsy; in that case, procreation can be avoided.
