Will the things I do, such as reciting, memorizing, and interpreting the verses of the Qur’an, and reading beneficial books, please my Lord as a substitute for me leaving university studies? And what are the other things that would benefit me in my religion, my worldly life, and my afterlife?

Allah created jinn and mankind for His worship alone, and a Muslim must begin with the obligatory acts before the supererogatory ones. Worship is broader than the pillars of Islam, encompassing all that Allah loves and approves of, from apparent and hidden sayings and deeds, with the intention of drawing closer to Him. To achieve this, it is recommended to seek systematic Islamic knowledge in creed, jurisprudence, tafsir (exegesis), hadith, and the Prophet's biography, while frequently remembering Allah, associating with the righteous, and listening to beneficial lectures, without abandoning university studies if they are in accordance with Islamic law.
