What is the ruling on repairing the television for my sister if my father gets angry with me for doing so, and what is the ruling on television in Islam?

"The television itself is neither forbidden nor permissible; rather, its ruling depends on the programs it displays. If it shows forbidden programs such as immorality, the uncovering of nakedness, corrupt beliefs, calls to vice, and songs, then it is impermissible to own or repair it. However, if it is limited to religious and cultural programs and permissible games, then there is no objection to owning and repairing it. If your sister uses it for forbidden things, do not obey her or your father in repairing it, because 'there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator.'"
