Does the Hadith: "Recite the Qur'an, for it will come as an intercessor for its people on the Day of Resurrection" mean that memorizing the Qur'an alone is sufficient for intercession on the Day of Resurrection, even if the memorizer does not adhere to the teachings of Islam?

The hadith (definition) referred to by Muslim, which commands the recitation of the Qur’an so that it may intercede for its reciter, stipulates that this intercession is for the reciter of the Qur’an who acts upon it. This is based on the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: “The Qur’an will be brought on the Day of Resurrection, along with its people who used to act upon it…” As for one who recites the Qur’an but does not act upon it, he is not considered among its people, and the Qur’an will not intercede for him; rather, it will be a proof against him. However, for the reciter of the Qur’an from whom some sins may emanate, the reward for his recitation will be written for him, even if it is incomplete.
