Is it permissible to divide the fulfillment of a vow into installments, by distributing the amount of the pledged salary to God over several months instead of paying it in a lump sum, in order to alleviate the financial situation of the one who made the vow?

Whoever vows to donate the salary of the first month after he starts working must fulfill it immediately if his intention is realized, because it is a vow of obedience, and the intention restricts the vow. If donating the full salary causes apparent harm, then he must give out what he can, and the remainder remains a debt upon him until he is able to fulfill it. It must be known that vowing is originally disliked, according to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Indeed, it does not avert anything, but rather it is used to extract [something] from the miser." However, whoever vows an act of obedience, it becomes obligatory upon him to fulfill it.
