What is the effect of prayer on a Muslim's conduct?

Prayer is of immense significance; it is a connection between the servant and his Creator, through which worries are alleviated, provisions are drawn forth, and afflictions are repelled. When a matter troubled the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he would pray and say: "The comfort of my eye has been made in prayer." One who consistently observes prayer benefits from it, and its effects become apparent in his conduct; his veneration of this pillar is evidence of his veneration for God's commands. As for one who neglects it, he is even more negligent in other matters. God spoke truthfully: (Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing), and this is realized by whoever observes it, along with its obligations and Sunnahs, and is humble therein.
