What is the ruling on selling permissible shares to a person, while the shares remain in the seller's portfolio until the buyer wishes to sell them in the market and receive the price?

It is not permissible to sell shares while they are still in the original seller's portfolio. Rather, the shares must be transferred to the buyer's portfolio before they can be sold to another party. This is based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "If you buy something, do not sell it until you have taken possession of it," and "He (the Prophet) forbade selling goods where they were bought until the merchants transport them to their own places." Therefore, the buyer is not allowed to sell what he has bought before taking possession of it and transferring it to his ownership. This rule applies to shares as well.
