Is harsh criticism and verbal abuse considered a method of a Muslim criticizing his fellow Muslim?

The ruling on mockery and following programs that involve it has been previously clarified, and that ridiculing people has a specific ruling. However, ridiculing the rituals of religion, such as prayer, is major disbelief (kufr akbar) that expels one from the fold of Islam, by the consensus of scholars. There are also previous fatwas regarding the ruling on ridiculing committed Muslims, the prohibition of obscenity and foul language, and the limits of freedom of opinion and expression. It is advised to turn away from individuals like this broadcaster and occupy oneself with what is beneficial, based on the Almighty's saying: "Hold to forgiveness, command what is customary, and turn away from the ignorant." Imam Al-Shafi'i said: "If a fool speaks, do not answer him, for silence is better than answering him. If you speak to him, you relieve him, but if you leave him, he will die of anguish."
