The Quran is the best form of remembrance (), and remembrance through it is superior to other forms. However, a Muslim should vary his dhikr and supplications, following the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the righteous predecessors. Thus, the prescribed remembrances should be recited at their designated times, especially after the obligatory prayers and in the morning and evening, and the recitation of the Quran should be reserved for other times.
