Is it obligatory to change the name of the daughter, "Yathrib," because the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, disliked this name and its meaning is not noble?

The default rule regarding names is permissibility unless there is a shar'i (Islamic legal) دليل (proof) that prohibits or dislikes them. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, disliked the name "Yathrib" for Madinah because it is derived from "al-tathreeb" (reproach and blame) or "al-tharb" (corruption), both of which are ugly. So, he named the city "Taybah" and "Taabah," and urged seeking forgiveness for anyone who calls it "Yathrib." Therefore, the girl's name can be changed to a better name, from among the names of the city that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, named it.
