Is sacrificing one sheep for a boy sufficient, or must there be two?
The Sunnah is to sacrifice two sheep for a male newborn and one sheep for a female. If a Muslim can only find one sheep, it is sufficient and fulfills the purpose. If Allah has blessed him with wealth, then two are better.
