Is it permissible to request a change to the traffic accident report, so that the fault is shared instead of being solely attributed to the driver, given the high cost of repairs, and is the consent of the other driver a condition for this?

It is not permissible to ask a policeman to lie or to write a report contrary to the truth, due to the elements of forgery, deception, fraud, and unlawful acquisition of wealth involved. Allah the Almighty has prohibited false speech and the unlawful acquisition of wealth, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, prohibited deception. The high cost of car repair is not a justification for lying.
