Does divorce occur if one says "I divorce you" in a dream, especially with accompanying whispers [of the devil]?

Divorce does not occur if it is uttered verbally without intention, even if the person is awake, for intention is a pillar of divorce. Similarly, the divorce of a person afflicted by obsessive thoughts (musawwas) who is overwhelmed by them does not occur, even if he utters it; this is because he utters it without intention or will, but rather he is compelled and coerced into it. It is advisable to disregard these obsessive thoughts.
