How sound is the hadith: "There is no woman who gives her husband a drink but that it is better for her than a year of fasting its days and praying its nights, and for every drink she gives her husband, Allah builds her a city in Paradise, and forgives her sixty sins"?

This hadith is not found in the books of Sunnah. Ibn Habib al-Andalusi mentioned it in his book Adab al-Nisa' without a chain of transmission (isnad), stating in it the virtue of a wife giving her husband water to drink and setting the table for him. However, Ibn Habib did not meticulously verify hadith; he mixed authentic ones with weak ones, did not understand their chains of transmission, and cited reprehensible narrations. The people of his time attributed mendacity to him. Therefore, this statement is not from the words of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. The virtue of obeying one's husband is sufficiently established by many other texts.
