How can marital problems be overcome and the home be made a garden from the gardens of this world with love and understanding, bearing in mind that theكثرة of these problems may be due to a usurious loan for the house, or a lack of faith, or the child being special needs, or for other non-material or non-sensory reasons?

Satan is the primary cause of marital problems and divorce. Therefore, the spouses must seek refuge in Allah, adhere to His commands, and avoid His prohibitions. Sins, such as weak faith and usury, are considered ploys of Satan and lead to misery. Hence, repentance from them and increasing faith through acts of obedience are necessary. The presence of a disabled child is not a cause for problems if there is faith in divine decree and destiny, and an anticipation of reward. The wife must obey her husband in what is good and avoid mistreating him, and she should strengthen her connection with Allah to achieve happiness in this world and the Hereafter.
