The answer

The savings account is the very essence of usury (riba), and Allah has threatened those who consume it with war. Allah says: "O you who have believed, fear Allah and give up what remains [due to you] of riba, if you should be believers. And if you do not, then be informed of a war [against you] from Allah and His Messenger. But if you repent, you may have your principal - [thus] you do no wrong, nor are you wronged."

It is obligatory to withdraw money from the savings account. Whatever exceeds the principal amount should be spent on the general welfare of Muslims to dispose of it. If it is possible to determine the exact amount the father deposited, that is the rightful amount to be possessed. Otherwise, it is obligatory to be cautious regarding the amount of interest. This is incumbent upon every person, and they must alert their siblings to enjoin good and forbid evil, and to absolve the deceased from the burdens of usury.
