Who are those who were truthful in what they said, yet their destiny was the Fire?

Truth is salvation and lies are destruction. Therefore, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded truthfulness and warned against lying. The phrase mentioned, "They spoke truthfully and entered Hell," refers to the Jews and Christians who truthfully described each other as being on nothing, and thus entered Hell due to their disbelief, not due to their truthfulness. Such a phrase should not be uttered lest it be misunderstood that truthfulness is a cause for entering Hell.
