For how long do the garments remain reversed after being reversed in the Prayer for Rain?

It is recommended for those performing the Istisqa' prayer to leave their cloaks turned inside out until they take off their clothes, or return to their homes. Al-Nawawi said in Al-Majmoo': "Al-Shafi'i and his companions said: 'And they leave them turned inside out until they take off their clothes.' And a group said: 'They leave them turned inside out until they return to their homes.' This is not a disagreement; rather, it is recommended to leave them turned inside out until they return to their homes, and they remain so in their homes until they take off those clothes, whether they take them off immediately upon arriving home or later."
