The names and attributes of Allah are tawqifiyyah (restricted to what is revealed), so He is only described by what is stated in the texts of revelation. The aforementioned narration attributed to Ibn Abbas regarding the interpretation of the verse (42:5) "The heavens almost rupture from above them" as being "from the weight" or "from the weight and greatness of the Most Merciful" has a weak chain of transmission. The correct interpretation of the verse is that it is out of fear of Allah's greatness and majesty, and that the Throne is the heaviest of creations.
