Is the verse "And He is the subjugator above His servants" used as evidence for Allah's exaltedness by His existence above the heavens, and is the 'Arsh (Throne) spherical, encompassing the heavens?

The verse, "And He is the Irresistible, above His servants," is among the proofs adduced by the Sunnis for Allah's highness (uluww) in His essence above His creation. Ibn Qudamah stated that Allah described Himself with highness, and Muhammad (peace be upon him) described Him as such, and the scholars are in consensus on it, and reports have been consecutively transmitted regarding it. Ibn Abd al-Barr also transmitted that the verse is proof that Allah the Almighty is in the heavens, upon the Throne, and it is an argument against the Mu'tazila. Al-Dhahabi mentioned, citing al-Tabari and al-Bayhaqi, that the verse indicates that Allah is in the heavens, while His knowledge is in every place. Sheikh Hafiz Hakami combined the highness of the essence and irresistibility in this verse.
