How can a woman overcome her love for a non-Muslim man, who had agreed to embrace Islam then reneged and began abusing her, and completely forget him, and succeed in her professional life?

First: You must repent to Allah Almighty for the long period of disobedience, and praise Allah for keeping the desire to change.

Second: To get rid of this relationship, there must be steps: 1. A firm resolve to cut off the relationship out of fear of Allah and hope for His forgiveness. 2. Cutting off all means of communication and changing your place of residence or returning to your family to facilitate forgetting. 3. Busying yourself with obedience to Allah, such as prayer, fasting, remembrance, and reading the Quran. 4. Not thinking about the young man or the issue of inviting him [to Islam], as that is a gateway for Satan. 5. Remembering your affiliation with the religion and disassociating yourself from the disbelievers, for Allah Almighty says: (You will not find a people who believe in Allah and the Last Day loving those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred. Those - He has decreed within their hearts faith and supported them with a spirit from Him. And We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding eternally therein. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. Those are the party of Allah. Unquestionably, the party of Allah - they are the successful.) Al-Mujadilah/22. 6. Seeking righteous female friends and listening to admonitions to increase certainty and fear of Allah. 7. Frequently supplicating to Allah Almighty and asking Him to avert evil and grant salvation from tribulations, such as: "O Allah, inspire me with guidance and protect me from the evil of my own soul," and "O Allah, purify my heart and safeguard my private parts," and "O Allah, avert from me the cunning of Satan," and "O Allah, O Turner of hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion," along with humble supplication during times of answered prayers.
