Is it correct to prevent one's wife from mixing with the non-mahram children of her maternal aunt (khalah), and to limit her interactions to only mahram relatives, due to jealousy?
The sons of the wife's maternal aunt are considered non- (strangers) to her. Therefore, she must treat them as such; it is not permissible for her to uncover her in front of them, nor to be lenient in her interactions with them through joking, mixing, or being alone with them. The husband's jealousy over her in this situation is praiseworthy, and there is no blame upon him for preventing her from interacting with them and for safeguarding her from fitan (trials/temptations). The sons of maternal uncles and aunts, and paternal uncles and aunts, are not considered close kin (rahim) whose ties must be maintained, according to the more preponderant opinion.
