What is the reason for the significant difference between the Salafi and centrist factions, which makes the fatwa on a single issue oscillate between bid‘ah (innovation) and sunnah (prophetic tradition)?

Salafism is the adherence to the righteous predecessors in understanding and applying the Qur'an and Sunnah, and it represents the true moderation. Moderation means exalting the Sharia and adhering to the Sunnah. The religion of Islam is easy and accessible; it does not require innovation. The moderation and tolerance of the religion are inherent within it, and those most committed to it are the most fortunate in terms of moderation. It is necessary to distinguish between permissible and legitimate differences, which are differences in understanding that do not contradict a text, and impermissible differences, which are based on whims or far-fetched evidence.
