Does repeating the letter "ra" in the opening takbir (takbirat al-ihram) affect the validity of the prayer, and is it necessary to renew the intention and the takbir?

The repetition of the letter 'rāʾ' in the opening takbīr (takbīrat al-iḥrām) does not invalidate the prayer according to many scholars. Al-Ramli favors non-invalidation, because 'rāʾ' is a letter of repetition, so its increase does not change the meaning. However, one should be keen to avoid this, as it is a type of linguistic error (laḥn). Some scholars have gone to the extent of deeming the prayer invalidated by it.
