Is "Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah" a book by Ibn Khuzaymah, and are its hadiths as authentic as those in Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim?

He is Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Ishaq ibn Khuzaymah al-Naysaburi, and his book on Hadith is known as "Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah." Ibn Khuzaymah's condition for his Sahih was that he would only include Hadith that he considered authentic, narrated by trustworthy and upright narrators, with an unbroken chain of transmission, and he did not differentiate between Hasan (good) and Sahih (authentic). Scholars paid great attention to his book and considered it one of the sources of authentic Hadith. Ibn Khuzaymah's authentication of a Hadith does not mean it is authentic according to all scholars, as what he considers authentic, others may deem weak. It is permissible for common people, students of knowledge, and some scholars to follow Ibn Khuzaymah and accept the Hadith he included in his book. However, a scholar who is capable of ijtihad (independent legal reasoning) or a specialized student of knowledge, their duty is to research and investigate the extent to which the conditions of acceptance apply to a Hadith.
