What should one do if afflicted with obsessive doubts regarding the intention to embrace Islam, utter the Two Testimonies (Shahadatayn), and perform ritual bathing (ghusl)? And do repeated re-performances of these actions invalidate previous ones?

These whispers do not affect the soundness of faith as long as they are mere thoughts that the heart dislikes. Their treatment involves turning away from them, ignoring them, seeking help from Allah through supplication, and consulting psychiatrists. These whispers do not take a Muslim out of their religion or invalidate their previous deeds. One must be careful that they do not lead to abandoning acts of worship, for Satan aims to prevent the servant from the remembrance of Allah and prayer. Whenever a servant turns to Allah, whispers come to them; therefore, they must be patient and steadfast.
