If the legal marriage contract is concluded, the woman becomes a wife, and the absence of a written document does not affect the validity of the marriage. If the husband says to his wife: "You are divorced, you are divorced, you are divorced," then if he intended emphasis, it counts as one divorce. If he intended three divorces, then according to the majority of scholars, it counts as three. If it was a single divorce and reconciliation was valid, and then he divorced her a third time, she becomes irrevocably separated from him by a major divorce. It is not permissible to repair virginity, and one must repent from doing so or assisting in it. Parents must be advised gently and kindly regarding prayer and hijab.
