How can an oath of divorce be annulled before the occurrence of the action upon which the oath was sworn?

An oath of divorce cannot be revoked or dissolved according to the majority of scholars, because it is considered a conditional divorce. Some scholars hold that if the intention behind the oath of divorce is to make it conditional, then it is a conditional divorce. However, if the intention is merely to swear an oath, then it is considered an oath and requires an expiation for breaking an oath (feeding ten poor persons, clothing them, or emancipating a slave; or fasting three days if one cannot afford the former). Since the opinion of the majority is very strong, the wife should avoid the action upon which the divorce is conditioned to prevent its occurrence.
