The husband's friend's action of collecting empty wine bottles to fill them with wine is forbidden and reprehensible. However, if he collects them for a permissible use, then it is allowed. As for eating from his food, if he has mixed lawful and unlawful wealth, it is permissible to eat from his food, though it is disliked, unless all of his wealth is unlawful, in which case it is not permissible to eat from it.
