Is the wife considered to be irrevocably divorced by three pronouncements (talaq al-thalaath) by her denial of a previous confession to her husband, after he asked her for the truth, threatening divorce, knowing that she told him, "I told you everything and I have nothing else," and her intention was what she had previously narrated before her denial, and his intention was what she denied?

A Muslim, when afflicted by a sin, must conceal himself and not disclose it to anyone, even if it is one of the spouses. Therefore, the wife informing her husband of what she did is contrary to what is right. As for the wife hinting to her husband with words that could be interpreted in two ways, it is permissible if the purpose is legitimate. Divorce does not occur in the manner mentioned, because the husband is unjust in his questioning, as no one has the right to force another to mention sins they committed in the past. The oath is based on the intention of the one swearing if he is wronged.
