If you assume for from your workplace, located outside the boundaries of the , then your action is valid and your Umrah is sufficient. However, if you assume ihram from your home, then go to your workplace, and from there to the Haram to perform Umrah, you are required to offer a (sacrifice a sheep) for not assuming ihram from the , although your Umrah is sufficient. You are not required to offer a fidyah for wearing sewn clothes if it was due to ignorance.
