There is no sin upon you if you maintain ties with your family and maternal uncle to the best of your ability through communication. You must strive for reconciliation and involve people of virtue to end the estrangement and clarify its impermissibility. The maternal uncle is not considered a severer of kinship ties if he communicates with you, but he should visit you when he comes to the village and raise his children to do the same.
