Is it permissible to hold a competition with questions and financial prizes on Facebook with the aim of increasing interaction and promoting the page, on condition that users like the page?

A competition is permissible if the questions are beneficial and lawful, and the prizes are not paid for by the contestants. However, it should not be a condition to like the page, as this might lead to registering likes that are contrary to reality. This falls under the Prophet’s, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "The one who pretends to have been given what he has not been given is like one who wears two garments of falsehood." Nevertheless, this condition does not affect the permissibility of prizes awarded for answering questions.
